In the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014), New York City is under the control of the evil Shredder and his Foot Clan. The city is enveloped in darkness, with even the police and politicians under Shredder's iron grip. However, hope arises when four unlikely outcast brothers emerge from the sewers and realize their true purpose as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
