Recess: School's Out (2001) is an exciting and action-packed animated film that takes place during the end of the school year at Third Street Elementary. TJ Detweiler, the film's protagonist, finds himself bored and alone as his friends are off to Summer Camp. However, his boredom quickly turns to intrigue when he sees a mysterious green glow emanating from the school's auditorium. Little does he know that this glow is the work of the notorious ex-principal of Third Street, Phillium Benedict, and his gang of ninjas and secret service look-alikes.
Benedict's evil plan is to eliminate Summer Vacation using a stolen Tractor Beam from a US Military Base. With this beam, he aims to alter the Earth's weather patterns and extend the school year indefinitely, depriving kids of their much-needed break. Determined to save their summer, TJ and his friends form a team called the Recess Gang and embark on a high-stakes mission to stop Benedict's nefarious plot.
As the gang faces numerous challenges and treacherous obstacles, they learn the importance of friendship, teamwork, and standing up against injustice. Will they be able to outsmart Benedict and save Summer Vacation for themselves and all the kids around the world?
