In Men in Black II (2002), Agent Jay, played by Will Smith, is on a new mission to find his former partner, Agent Kay, portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones. It is revealed that Kay's memory had been erased and he is living a peaceful life as a post office worker. However, when a dangerous extraterrestrial presence threatens Earth, Jay convinces Kay to join him once again in the Men in Black organization to save the world.
The plot thickens when it is discovered that a malevolent alien named Serleena is searching for the Light of Zartha, a powerful source of energy that could destroy the universe if it falls into the wrong hands.
