Joy
Details
Despite her financial struggles, Joy has always been the one that her family turns to for support. She works a dissatisfying job as an Eastern Airlines ticket clerk, lives with her mother Terry, her ex-husband Tony, and their two children. Additionally, her father Rudy, who owns a failing garage, is dropped off at her doorstep by his latest girlfriend.
Feeling buried by her responsibilities, Joy decides to make some changes in her life. She comes up with an idea for a self-wringing mop and sets out to manufacture it. With the support of her family, she pitches the idea to Rudy's wealthy girlfriend, Trudy. However, she faces challenges in convincing business executives to market her product.
Throughout the film, Joy must navigate legal issues and the skepticism of others in order to bring her product to the American public. She must decide if she is willing to take risks and fight for the success of her invention.
Joy is a story of determination and resilience as the protagonist strives to make her dreams a reality.
