In the classic 1966 film Fantastic Voyage, scientist Jan Benes possesses a crucial secret that could change the course of warfare: the ability to shrink soldiers indefinitely. With the help of CIA agent Grant, Benes manages to escape from behind the Iron Curtain. However, during their escape, their convoy is ambushed, resulting in Benes sustaining a head injury that leads to a dangerous blood clot forming in his brain.
In a desperate race against time, Grant is tasked with joining a group of scientists on a groundbreaking mission. Using experimental technology, they are all shrunk down to microscopic size and injected into Benes's body.
