In the not too distant future, the spacecraft Svea XVI carries 12-year-old Gladys and her younger brother Keaton, the only passengers on board. Fleeing from a broken Earth, they are en route to the planet Vial, but their destination always seems just out of reach. To pass the time, the siblings explore the vast ship and their only companion is the Japanese A.I. named Otosan.
Their monotonous routine takes an unexpected turn when an unidentified object collides with the Svea, disrupting their solitary existence. Suddenly, they are no longer alone in space. As the mysterious presence begins to infiltrate their lives, Gladys and Keaton's sense of isolation morphs into a gripping battle for survival.
