Their chance at salvation comes in the form of a rare baseball card from the 1908 Chicago Cubs. If they can sell it in Chicago, they hope to raise enough money for Rollie to stay at home with assistance. Cooper decides to team up with his high school sweetheart and her son, Charlotte and her son, to take Rollie to a memorabilia market.
Rollie insists on keeping the valuable card in his pocket, but this garners attention from several individuals who want to steal it. Along their journey, Cooper gradually starts to regain memories from his own forgotten past. These recollections bring about unexpected revelations and shed light on his current circumstances.
