Braddock: Missing in Action III is set during the Vietnam War and follows the story of Colonel James Braddock. At the end of the war, Braddock's Vietnamese wife, Lin, was unable to get the necessary paperwork to leave Vietnam with him. Devastated, Braddock left Vietnam assuming his wife had died in an explosion.
Twelve years later, Braddock is approached by a Reverend who claims that Lin is alive and that they have a son together. Initially skeptical, Braddock's doubts start to fade when the CIA asks to meet with him. The CIA reveals that Lin is indeed alive and being held captive by the Vietnamese government.
