In Blast from the Past (1999), Adam Weber, the son of an eccentric inventor and his wife, embarks on an extraordinary journey after spending 35 years in a bomb shelter. When a bomb scare in the 1960s traps the Webers underground, Adam finds himself tasked with venturing into the unfamiliar world of Los Angeles to secure food and supplies for his family.
