In an alternate universe, the Justice League is reimagined as antiheroes in the movie Justice League: Gods and Monsters (2015). Superman is not the son of Jor-El, but the son of Zod, raised by Mexican immigrants in difficult circumstances. Batman is portrayed as a young vampire doctor named Kirk Langstrom who is consumed by finding a cure for his disease. Wonder Woman goes by the name Bekka and is the widowed queen of the world of Darkside.
