Details
Looper is a gripping sci-fi action film set in the year 2074. In this future world, the mob has found a unique way to dispose of their enemies - by sending them back in time to be eliminated by specialized assassins known as loopers. These loopers, like the film's protagonist Joe, are skilled gunmen waiting in the past to carry out their deadly tasks.
However, everything changes for Joe when he discovers that the mob plans to send his future self back in time for him to kill. This process, known as closing the loop, poses a moral dilemma for Joe as he must decide whether to carry out the assassination or risk his own life by defying the mob.
As Joe's future self appears, he manages to escape, setting off an intense cat-and-mouse chase throughout time. Joe finds himself facing dangerous encounters and unexpected allies, all while trying to protect his present self and find a way to change the course of his own fate.
Directed by Rian Johnson and featuring a stellar cast including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Emily Blunt, Looper offers a thought-provoking and action-packed journey into a world where time travel is a reality and the consequences of one's actions can have far-reaching effects.
