In the movie Blown Away, an intense action thriller set in 1994, an Irish bomber named Ryan Gaerity manages to escape from prison. Seeking revenge, he sets his sights on a former colleague and member of the Boston bomb squad, Lieutenant Jimmy Dove.

But when Gaerity starts leaving bombs around the city, Jimmy finds himself involved in a deadly cat-and-mouse game.
