En värsting till syster (1992) is a heartwarming comedy film that tells the story of Deloris Van Carter, a talented singer living in Reno. One night, she witnesses her mobster boyfriend commit a murder and finds herself in danger. To protect her, the police place Deloris in a witness protection program and hide her in a convent.
At the convent, Deloris initially struggles to adapt to the strict lifestyle and clashes with the Mother Superior. However, she soon forms strong friendships with three lively nuns: Sister Mary Robert, Sister Mary Lazuras, and Sister Mary Patrick. These friendships become the heart of the movie, providing comedic relief and touching moments throughout.
When the Mother Superior discovers Deloris and two other nuns sneaking out to a bar, she decides to punish them by ordering Deloris to join the church choir. Much to everyone's surprise, Deloris takes charge and transforms the dull choir into a sensational singing sensation. The choir's success becomes a hit among the neighborhood, and Deloris finds joy in her new role.
