Details
In the movie 45 set in New York City, Kate and her aggressive boyfriend Big Al make a living by selling handguns on the streets. Kate is intelligent, fashionable, and self-assured, but her confidence fades when Al becomes jealous and physically abuses her. Determined to recover from her abusive relationship, Kate finds support from three friends.
Vic, who secretly desires a romantic relationship with Kate, encourages her to find strength within herself. Reilly, who runs with Al but is repulsed by his violent nature, also supports Kate and harbors his own attraction towards her. Lastly, Liz, a counselor from a battered women's program, provides Kate with pep talks and guidance. Despite the encouragement, Kate remains deeply afraid of Al's continued menace.
